Once upon a time, on February 28, 2021... The very morning after hiring Thorgum and Rukai, Aria led the motley crew away from the caravan, which had changed direction to attend a festival in the orc mountains of Kurdugh Kriggadh Ko. The party struck out through the woods, following Thorgum's lead, and travelled slowly towards the river and Wyldhaven.
Along the way, Rukai began training her second skeleton, Mary, simple commands, and when they were finally attacked by some really dumb thieves, the crew was in fighting order. Hargum, Marx, Wren, and Aria beat back the attackers, who then fled, but Rukai killed her opponent only to raise his corpse and send it after his former companions. The group shared a collective shudder.
After fording a river, the party made camp, caught and cooked fish, and told a few tales of their life before the caravan...

Once upon a time, on February 28, 2021... After the soldiers had gone on, Aria seethed at Wren about her being framed and complained that the situation was worse than she'd thought. Worse still, their conversation was overheard by the necromancer, Rukai. Rukai let them know she'd overheard them, but didn't seem to be interested in turning the princess over for the reward. She even went on to find Marx and let him know that the Aria and Wren weren't being as careful as they could be with their secret, and Marx confronted them about it, urging them to keep to their new identities.
With the town buzzing with stories of the princess and her betrayal, Krumarsh decided that it wouldn't be prime environment for selling wares, so he moved the caravan on, towards the next town. Along the way, Rukai noticed a small group of ghosts busying themselves about Aria, and she shoed them away. Later, when they returned she spoke with one, the ghost of Princess Cyrene's governess, and confirmed that the princess wasn't the aggressor (and that she'd been busted in the restricted section of the library from time to time).
At the next town, Marx sold Aria's jewelry, and while doing so spotted a fancy piece of armor with Hargum's mark on it. He told the dwarf about the armor, and Hargum bargained all his savings, plus some fancy door hinges, to buy the masterworked gauntlet and shoulder piece, after confirming that they were part of the set stolen from him many months ago.
For a few days, the caravan remained in town, selling their wares and services, before once again a group of soldiers came through and searched them. Cani again intimidated the troops, and Rukai, annoyed at being searched again, sent Aria's ghosts upon the soldiers. After, Aria began to realize that though she'd escaped capture these two times, if this kept up, she was bound to be caught...

Once upon a time, on February 11, 2021... A contingent of soldiers rode into town with grave tidings for the villagers. A soldier blew a brass horn, summoning the entire village to the town square, where commanding sergeant dismounted and announced the vile treachery of Princess Cyrene. The princess, he said, had murdered her father and family, in a desperate bid for power. She was overcome, and fled the capital, and is now on the run. The crown is offering 40 pieces of gold to whomever captures the princess and turns her over to the army.
After, the soldiers searched the town and caravan, wreaking havoc on the merchants until Captain Cani threatened the soldiers and bullied them into being more civil. When the soldiers came to Ugluk's cart, where stood Cyrene and Wren, Cyrene cast a simple glamor on herself, and the soldiers overlooked her and continued their search.
It's clear now that even with the caravan on the move, nowhere is safe for the princess for long...

Once upon a time, on February 2, 2021... Cyrene - now Aria - and her handman Wren left the caravan after dark on their first day, and Taewynn led them through the forest and down the road, to the next town. There, they bought new clothes, Aria disguising herself as a priestess of Nyx, and Wren her escort.
When the caravan arrived, Aria and Wren rejoined, with no one but Ugluck, Hargum, and Marx the wiser.

Once upon a time, on January 28, 2021... Two-and-a-half years ago, General Ferdinand Marx was brought before the Queen, to face judgement for betraying his King and giving aid to the enemy. The Queen ordered him exiled and cursed, for betraying the trust and friendship the King had shown him. Kind and soft hearted, Princess Cyrene begged mercy for her father's friend and was permitted to gift him a finely crafted sword hilt, whereupon he was removed to serve his sentence in shame.
To his surprise, some years later Marx was summoned by the King to attend the first birthday of his first son and heir. The disgraced general arrived on the boy's birthday, and waited for the King to meet him. The King never came.
When the bells tolled disaster, Marx ran to the castle gates, searching for a way in to help his friend and in doing so, spied Princess Cyrene bolting the castle with her handman, Wren. Marx intercepted them and spirited them away, falling in with a large merchant caravan that was fleeing the capital as disaster fell.
The three found themselves at the mercy of apprentice blacksmith Hargum the dwarf, and his master, Ugluck the Orc, who pitied them and hid them in the blacksmith's cart. As the caravan left the capital, Cyrene regaled Marx the tragic events of her brother's birthday celebration. Unknown enemy agents set upon the guests and royal family, killing all in attendance. The princess and Wren narrowly escaped with the aid of Lord Arden, Cyrene's betrothed, who delayed her pursuers long enough for her to escape.
